The people who inspired these paintings live in Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya. They are people I met while traveling to Africa. They are people I cannot get out of my mind because they touched me in a profound way and changed my life. They are the reason I've gone back to school to become a Social Worker. Whether working here at home or internationally, I knew I could no longer ignore the suffering of so many and do nothing.
I use my artwork to raise funds and awareness to the needs of those suffering crushing poverty, oppression and disease in the same world that I live in, enjoying privilege and luxury. I am just one person, but I am doing what one person can...using the gifts, talents, and resources given me to benefit others where possible.
I have original artwork and prints available for sale. 50% of the proceeds go to various organizations and projects I am involved with. For more specific information, please contact me.
